No TIME to wait......TIME to Decorate!!!!!

Ever wonder how to decorate in January? I sure do! When all the Christmas decorations go, sometimes I'm at a loss as to what to put up now?????

I guess you can't go wrong with clocks for January

So I dug out my old clock and, believe it or not, actually took the one hand that was left off since it didn't work anyway. While browsing at Goodwill store I came across the little clock and only payed one dollar for it . I found it just in time!

Some might look at my little white trees and say it's time to paint them. Well you have to know my love for all things white to understand my reasoning, I
guess. They are another thrift store find from several years ago and yes, they are ceramic and were intended to be painted, but I left them white, of course. I think it's time for some (whisper) snow!!!
The branches in the urns are from our yard and I spray painted them white. They were left over from a banquet we had at church I am so glad I found them.

The green bows are made from a roll of green
burlap. I have always wanted to learn how to make the beautiful big bows. It's about time I learned How to make some things like this. There is no excuse nowadays when you want do something and you don't know how. There are so many good tutorials out there. That's how I learned to do this. The reason for using green, besides it being one of my favorite colors, is because green is the color for 2013. Did you know that??? Well, it's really emerald green, but I'll just stick with other shades to represent the green hue for this year. Then you certainly can't go wrong with snowmen and pine cones at this time of year. So there you have it. Decorating in January just takes a little looking around here and there for ideas, and a little......time! As the days of January 2013 are quickly slipping by, here's a little reminder as to what we should really do with our time: Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Bleak Mid-Winter

Happy middle of January!!!

Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying winter.

I don't mind winter as long as I can stay inside on the bitter cold days.

I heard a song title around Christmas time "In the Bleak Mid  Winter".  I don't really know this song, but from the title, it could describe where we are now!

I hope you're enjoying some  rays on this "bleak mid winter" day!

Yay for a ray!!

"And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."

Revelation 21:23

Aren't you glad there's going to be a brighter day?

Oh there be brighter day just wait and see
When all God's  children will be free!

"....as a little child."

Our little grandson,  Eli, trusted Jesus as his Savior today!  I am so thankful and joyful about this!  It is an answer to prayer that our family has been praying for for sometime.

This is something that had bothered Eli for some time.   Even to the point of his coming to his mom and dad several times  nightly and asking them to pray that he would get saved.
Tim and Sarah talked with him and prayed with him on different occasions about  this. However, they did not think that he fully understood.  They felt the wise thing to do would be to let him come to them and specifically tell them he was ready to be saved before they led him through the whole plan on salvation.

Last night after coming to their bedroom several times and asking them to pray that he would get saved,  he, finally, the last time he came back,  said, "Mama, I'm ready to be saved"!

Sure enough,  they realized he was definitely ready. They led him through the simple plan of salvation, which,  by the way,  is so simple that a child can understand!
Mark 10:15
"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein."    I'm so thankful for this!

This blessed my heart!   What an answer to prayer!

Eli called me a little while ago and said,  "Granna,  guess what happened today"?

"I got saved"!

Believe, you me, that was the best news I've heard today!

My heart is rejoicing!

3 John 1:4
"I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."

How to Upload Multiple Pics to A Blog from A Mobile Device!!! Yay!!!

Excited!!!  That's what I am!  Excited about pictures!  Excited about blogging!  Excited that I finally can get blogging and pictures to go together!!!

Are you like me and prefer a blog with beautiful pictures as opposed to one with only words???
To me, pictures and blogging go together.

I like to blog!  I love to read good blogs on home decorating ideas, missionary wives blogs and a couple others.  However, i also love my iPad that I got for my birthday which is considered a mobile device which is not so blogging friendly.   So far, I Have only been successful at a loading one picture at a time when when blogging from my iPad.

Now, a desktop computer sits  in a room upstairs in my house.  From a desk top computer it is no problem to  do a blog post and post as many pictures as you want.  However, another thing about me I guess, is that I am determined or could it be called stubborn??!! We will call it determined!  I have been determined to find out a way to post more than one picture at a time from my iPad!

After trying, and trying and trying again and then failing, and even being told by a technician at the apple store that it couldn't be done, I found a way.

I know you're wanting me to hurry and tell you what.  Well, it's simple, and trust me, for me it has to be simple!!!   You simply have to set up a Google Plus account and just set it up for your pictures to load instantly from your iPad or iPhone. Here's the catch.... The photo upload has to be done from the "compose" mode, and the script or writing part needs to be done in the HTML mode. Don't ask me what that means, I just know it works for me! I'll take it!

This way Blogger will allow you to access these photos, select them and post them to your blog!!!

Pictures are what really makes your blog post come alive.  I think it awakens your senses!

Taste the sweetness!
Smell the goodness!
Hear the fun!
See the beauty!

Well, I almost made it! For some reason it won't let me post another picture. I needed to do one more for the 5th sense! Oh well at least, I was able to do more than one picture. Hope you enjoy a little glimpse into our trip to the Deep South.
All from my iPad! Yay!!
