We have a small Bible Institute as a ministry of our church. We started it for several of our "preacher boys". Well, guess what!
My husband asked me to teach a ladies class as well. Since it is a three year program, I have actually taught this class twice, One four years ago and one last year.
Well, guess what!
I was asked to teach again this year as well! So, on September 12, we started with 10 students (ladies, there are 11 men in my husband's class). Yesterday, September 19,second class, we had grown to 11 students.
What am I teaching them? Hopefully, "good things" .....everything from how to have effective devotions to dealing with toddlers and teens and everything in between.
Am I an expert in any of these fields? NO! But I have been summoned to do so not only by my husband, but also by the Lord, Himself. ( Tit 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.)
Sometimes we, as women, do not like to admit that we are aged or aging, but what a privilege to be able to teach and share with those women who are younger that us some of the "good things" we have been taught.
Guess what! We are all older than someone! Come on, being aged is not so bad!
